Child safety standards

15 Minutes has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out how the app prohibits and prevents it, what happens when it is reported, and how we work with the authorities.

18 years old is the minimum to use 15 Minutes. Sign-up checks it against your date of birth.

Where these standards apply

Everywhere in the app: the 15-minute anonymous chats, direct messages, posts, comments, profiles, and every photo, video and voice recording that is shared. A private message is no exception.

Adults only

  • You must be at least 18 to use 15 Minutes. Sign-up asks for your date of birth, and an account cannot be created with a date under 18.
  • If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete its data.
  • The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Strictly prohibited

Each of the following leads to permanent account closure on a single instance, and is reported to the competent authorities:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any photo, video, audio, drawing or text that depicts a person under 18 in a sexual context.
  • Any content, suggestion or solicitation that sexualises children.
  • Any attempt at sexual communication with a minor, and grooming behaviour aimed at children.
  • Using the app to abuse, meet or exploit a child.
  • Using intimate images as a threat (sextortion).
  • Linking to, seeking, trading or selling any such material.

The same rules are part of the Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines that every user accepts in the app.

How we prevent it

  • Anonymous matches reveal nothing. Your name, photo and age stay hidden unless both of you agree to reveal.
  • You decide who can reach you. Who can message, tag or mention you is set separately: Everyone, Followers, Connections or No one.
  • Blocking works in both directions and ends every interaction between the two accounts.
  • View-once photos open once and are screenshot-protected.
  • An objectionable-language filter stops offending words in posts and comments, and masks them in other people's text.
  • Anonymous chats remind people not to share personal details, and that they can report or block at any time.

Reporting in the app

Tap Report on a profile, post, comment or message, or in the menu of an anonymous chat, and choose one of these reasons:

  • Underage user — for an account you believe belongs to someone under 18.
  • Nudity or sexual content
  • Illegal content

Your report stays private: the person you report is never told who reported them, and you are told the outcome. You can also write to us from the Help Center in the app, under the Safety topic.

What we do with a report

  • Child safety reports are reviewed with priority.
  • We remove the material and close the account permanently, without a warning first. Someone whose account was closed for breaking the rules can't come back with a new one.
  • We keep the records the law requires and report to the competent authorities: the judicial and law-enforcement authorities in Türkiye and the BTK İhbar Web hotline, and, where applicable, international bodies such as NCMEC's CyberTipline in the United States.
  • We respond to lawful requests from law enforcement and the courts, and cooperate with their investigations.

Legal compliance

We comply with the child protection laws of the Republic of Türkiye and with the child safety laws of every country where the app is offered.

Reporting without the app

Anyone, with or without an account, can write to us. Include the username, a link to the post and what you saw.

15minutessupport@ryujinlabs.com

Do not attach or forward the abusive material itself. A link or a username is enough.

If a child is in immediate danger

Contact your local emergency services first. In Türkiye, call 112.
